Solved it myself. I reinstalled it and made a MANUAL curve myself and now it's all quiet again.

Yeah, not te first time this happened, but never had to fight with it this long. Could I solve it with installing longer thumbscrews? Can I even remove the originals? Will longer ones interrupt with something?
