[SOLVED] New M.2 to replace SSD, should i simply get rid of old SSD?

Recently purchased an M.2 SSD to replace an SSD I presumed was causing some stutters, my stupid question is do i need to get rid of the ssd if it is causing that problem? since the m.2 is now running windows 10. as it is still currently plugged in as a secondary drive.
