That's actually what I did. I restarted the computer, and the disk was about to undergo a check, but it stated that it couldn't go ahead with it because the "disk was corrupt" or something to that degree, and needed to be taken care of in System Restore.

Sorry for the long wait. Still couldn't get the disk check to work. Said yet again that it couldn't work if the disk was being used.

I can't use the CHKDSK command on my computer, and I've pretty much exhausted my Googling capabilities. When I last booted my computer, it said it needed to check the disk for errors, but stated that I needed to go to System Restore to handle the issue since there was some sort of corrupt file...
