I can't use the CHKDSK command on my computer, and I've pretty much exhausted my Googling capabilities. When I last booted my computer, it said it needed to check the disk for errors, but stated that I needed to go to System Restore to handle the issue since there was some sort of corrupt file. However, when I went to System Restore and tried to restore the computer to an earlier period, it said that the Local Disk had errors and needed to be checked. When I tried to do that, the pop-up said:
"Windows can't check the disk while it's in use"
The only option I had was to schedule a disk check, only to return to the same cycle that landed me to the warning as shown above.
So I have no idea what to do from here, and I'm at the verge of throwing my laptop threw the window in fury. It's an HP G72 Notebook for the interested. If anyone has any ideas on what to do, shoot away. Thanks.
