    CMOS issue

haha, yea, wouldn't surprise me. Had some time this week to mess with it and got it all squared around by reseating the video card and resetting the cmos by using the jumper from another mobo. Everything back to working just fine. Thanks for the tips and suggestions

    CMOS issue

Thanks for the advice, I'll start running through them. Dogsnake: I sure hope its not the PSU. It's a Corsair CX430 thats only about 6 months old. If nothing else works, I'll start looking into that as a solution. Anonymous1: Normally I would but my kids use it for gaming from time to...

    CMOS issue

Hello all, I've been having an issue with an older spare computer of mine. It started not powering down correctly a few months ago: When I shut it down through windows, it will log off and shut down the os just fine but the actual system will stay powered up ie: the fans and led on the power...

Usb hub causing RAM failure and system crashes??

Sorry it took so long to get back. After a few maddening hours of searching, I finally did find the little gremlin hiding in my system. It was indeed a short in one of my case fans. A tiny little nick in one of the wires as all it took to bring my computer to its knees. All is well in my...

Usb hub causing RAM failure and system crashes??

Certainly. They lost me as a customer the minute I suspected their product, I tend not to buy from suppliers especially for my computer gear unless I am confident in their hardware. But I don't even want to accuse them if by some chance I'm off the mark here and perhaps over looking some other...

Good but not expensive gaming mouse (uk)

I have the Gigabyte M6800, and have had it for a little over 2 years and haven't had any problems with it. Works just fine, I would highly recommend it for a budget gaming mouse. Its a pretty basic mouse, but it does feel comfortable and has very good dpi between the two settings. If I had...

    System not fully powering up

hehe=) That build I made in august of 2010 was an upgrade from a p4 to a duo-core. I'm hoping for a similar result going from my duo-core to a 6 core AMD FX 6100. Mine won't be as impressive jump as yours, but I take such a great deal of satisfaction from building my own computers that any...

    $1000 eyefinity system

Hello. I've had a recent run of bad luck with my current system and have decided it's time to upgrade. I am going to reuse my existing case and hard drive only because prices STILL haven't come back down to pre-thailand flood prices. My old system was an intel core-duo E5300, with a gigabyte...

    System not fully powering up

Thanks Mac, But I ran through all the typical stuff you mentioned. I finally got the system to post and boot up after removing a stick of RAM. I really have no idea what to make of it other than a failure at that point. The poor system has been through quite a bit over the last year...

    System not fully powering up

Please any tips on whats going on with my computer? I just turned it off to clean it out with compressed air (something I do once a month or so) and when i plugged it back in and pushed the power button, the system just cycles without loading Windows. The fans turn on, the video card lights...
