    R9 390- Can it handle 1440 144Hz

R9 390 is great for 1440p, as it has 8 gb vram. You should get 60 fps most of the time.

    980 ti sli

Make sure your PCIE slots are working properly, your bridge is on securely, and your graphics cards are both working by testing them individually.

My monitor blinks, and the screen gets all messed up

I have been having problems with my monitor lately. It often flickers when I type something or change the volume. Occasionally, it blinks, and the colors get all messed up, almost as if there are two screens on top of each other slightly off center. It reverts back to normal once I restart my...

Pulsating humming noise coming from Corsair H100i GTX

I recently installed an H100i GTX in my PC, but it is making a really obnoxious pulsating hum. When in quiet mode, it kinda sounds like a biplane. When I turn it to performance mode, the noise goes up in pitch and becomes much louder, and the pulses are much more frequent. Both this noise and...

Looking to play in 4K, Ideas on graphics Cards?

R9 295x2 (cheaper and less powerful), or gtx 980 2x sli (more expensive and more powerful). Keep in mind that the 295x2 consumes more power. You could also wait for the 395x2 to come out, which is fairly soon.

    choose gtx 960

There's such a little difference in performance and temperature between the two brands. Whichever one looks better. Also, I would not pay extra for a higher clock speed out of the box because you can easily overclock it yourself.

    Should I upgrade?

What is your monitor, and what settings do you plan on playing games on? It really depends on what u need. I wouldn't upgrade, as the 290 is a very powerful graphics card, but if you find that you need more fps, then I'd recommend waiting for the r9 390 to come out (pretty soon)

    Still struggling what to buy.....

You honestly won't notice a big difference in the performance and cooling of the two. I like more EVGA, but Gigabyte is also great. Pick the one you think looks better.

    Graphics card for $230?

If possible, wait for AMD's 300 series to come out. If not, then 960 or 280x.

    What GPU Is best?

It really depends on your need and budget. Generally, the GTX 970 is an overall great card with a very good price to performance ratio, but if you need more performance and have a higher budget, a 980 would do well. Look into a 960 if you have a mid to low-ish budget.

    Rate this $2k build

You really don't need more than 4 cores for gaming; the i7 4790K is perfect for gaming, as gaming favors processors with fast cores and doesn't require that many cores. On the other hand, if you want to use some workstation applications, they favor more cores so a 3.4 Ghz hexa core processor...

Looking to upgrade to 3 gtx 970's, not sure what needs upgrading :/

Get a higher watt PSU; 1000w should do fine. I recommend this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438010. Also, you may want to look into getting a higher end z97 mobo because if you look into overclocking your CPU in the future, H97 doesn't overclock (I may be wrong...

    Recommended NVIDIA Graphics Card

I'd definitely go with the 970; it has a great performance to price ratio. Also, if you don't get the 970, don't get the 760, as the 960 is already out.

Why is Google Chrome overheating my laptop's CPU?

One day my fans in my laptop were really loud, so I checked HWmonitor, and my CPU temps were around 70-90 degrees Celsius. All I was doing was using chrome. I thought that an application may have been causing it to overheat, so I reset my laptop (it was new so I didn't have anything big on it)...
