    Nvidia Maxwell (800 series)

No, I don't think you should upgrade now unless you have cash to burn. A 680 is still a very respectable card and should not be struggling too much in most games @ 1080P. I would at least wait to see if Nvidia announces anything in the next few weeks since you already have a 680 and don't...

Phantom Display Issue, unable to access BIOS

Update: The issue was due to the BIOS version I was using with my mobo. I downgraded from 1.8 to V1.6 and reinstalled all PCIE cards and the issue was resolved. If you are using an MSI GD-65 Motherboard beware BIOS versions 1.7-1.8 as they have issues.

Phantom Display Issue, unable to access BIOS

I'm having a strange issue after installing a dedicated GPU a few weeks ago. I was using the iGPU on my 4770k for about a month while tracking down a new GPU. I now have a 2nd display showing in windows. The issue is that I only have 1 display connected and have never had a 2nd display. Even...

Will I have any issues with the GTX 760 in SLI

Based on your specs you'll have no issues installing a second card. As mentioned above, there are some negative aspects about running SLI cards. 1. Additional Heat which can be an issue with non-reference cards. Top card may get hot. 2. Incompatibility or poor scaling with some titles. To...

    Help please ?!

Confirm that the PSU is plugged in and the power switch on the back is in the 'I' position. Next you need to validate your connections. There are two primary power sources for the Motherboard; The 24-pin ATX connector and the 4/6-pin CPU power connector. Confirm that both of these are...

Do I have to use VGA cable for first boot?

Rather than buy a monitor pick up a DVI --> HDMI Cable. http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?c_id=102&cp_id=10231&cs_id=1023104&p_id=2404&seq=1&format=2#description Inexpensive solution and will ship same-day typically.

Do I have to use VGA cable for first boot?

Check the input mode on your monitor. Confirm you have plugged in the dedicated PCIE 6x/8x power cable to your video card. Depending on your Motherboard and BIOS version HDMI may not work, I have never experienced this first hand. Try using a different port on your video card (be sure to...

Will this rig run BF4 And CoD Ghosts on ultra?

Assuming that "Very Smoothly" means 60+ FPS. That rig is more than enough for Ghosts as that title is by no means graphically demanding. With BF4 you'll certainly be playing @ Ultra (1080p). However, you will experience some situations where @ ultra your FPS will dip into the 40-50 range...

Do I have to use VGA cable for first boot?

With nearly every main-stream motherboard you can use any type of video output that your motherboard/GPU supports. You MoBo should detect the video output device and output a signal through whatever connector you are using. If you have a dedicated PCIE Video Card the same applies. Simply...

    1080p 144hz or 1440p 60hz.

This is a tough choice. You need to also consider the hardware required to drive the displays. 144hz will allow for a smoother experience with less screen tearing. However, to truly benefit from 144Hz you need the processing power to put out 100+ FPS. A 144Hz display would be difficult to...

Would Crossfire on 2 R7 260X be any good?

A single 280x would without a doubt be the better option than CF 260x. You will have less heat, less headaches, less game compatibility issues.

    Which Intel CPU?

I'm confused as to why people are recommending SB/IB Processors. Fact: Haswell outperforms both SB & IB (2500/2600, 3570/3770). If you are buying new the only intelligent choices are a 4670k/4770k Regarding the i5/i7 debate. If you can afford the i7 it is the better option. You will have...

How to properly use an anti static wrist band?

^^ 100% Correct. Skin-contact and a good ground is all that matters. You could ground to your desk or desk legs (assuming metal).
