Asrock x99 Taichi Motherboard showing 6800k cpu voltage at 1.776v

Yeah the fact the temp was still around 35C was pointing me to it being an error i just wanted someone else to say it. I've done a bit more reading and this is what I found, "The voltage 1.7v is CPU input voltage. This technology is started from Haswell CPU called (FIVR). The actual voltage...

Asrock x99 Taichi Motherboard showing 6800k cpu voltage at 1.776v

Hello. In my BIOS it is showing a CPU voltage of 1.776v. This seems crazy high to me. CPU-Z is showing Core Voltage at around 0.781v. Can someone please explain the difference here? I have the BIOS defaults set, no overclocking on CPU or RAM at the moment.

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

UPDATE: My replacement x99 taichi came today from Asrock. The M.2 was detected right off the bat this time, zero issues. It took about 2 weeks to get my new/referb motherboard but my PC is up and running and every thing seems to be working as it should for now, knock on wood.

Will my i7-6800K be compatible with a LGA2066?

If I'm not mistaken, the 6800k will not fit in 2011. It is 2011-v3 and it will not work in a 2011 socket. Its a great cpu. I had to RMA my brand new Asrock x99 Taichi yesterday, the m.2 wouldnt detect my NVMe, common issue from what I understand. I stole this from another post:

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

I sent the board off to Asrock RMA department in Chino, CA today. I will come back here and update if the new/refurbished board they send me solves my m.2 detection issues. Wish me luck

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

I already tried another brand new m.2 (samsung 970evo) and it too wasn't being detected, so I'm pretty sure it's not a bad M.2 drive. My contact with Asrock support was very short and they only asked me to try 1 thing and then told me to RMA. From Eric at Asrock: Perhaps is a BIOS issue...

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

Would the fact I'm only running 2 sticks of RAM and not quad have any impact on the CPU lanes or M.2 functionality? I know quad channel is ideal but I didn't think it was necessary

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

I bought a Samsung 970 m.2 and it too was not being detected, so I'm guessing it's a motherboard issue? Time to RMA I guess.

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

A BIOS flash to 1.8 was one of the very first things I tried to do. I flashed successfully and the m.2 slot still shows nothing populating it. I see no setting in BIOS for NVMe what so ever, no settings to enable the m.2_1 or m.2_2 slot. If I plug a something into a SSATA3 port shared with...

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

Windows is not detecting my m.2 when I load win10. Distpart isn't listing it either. I'm not sure how I am supposed to format the M.2 when it's not being detected. I don't have an old PC that I can try to format the m.2 on, as it doesn't take m.2 ssd

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

How did you go to your old SSD to format your new SSD? My BIOS is not detecting the new M.2 so I don't know how to format something that isn't being detected. I loaded windows on my sataSSD to see if the m.2 would be detected by win10, no luck. I went and bought a Samsung 970evo m.2 to try in...

    X99 taichi won't detect M.2 NVMe

I just put my new PC together and I'm trying to install Windows 10 on my XPG-SX8200 M.2 Nvme gen3x4 SSD, but I can not get the BIOS to detect my M.2 drive at all. I have tried putting in a different M.2 to see if I got a dead one (samsung970evo M.2) and it wouldn't detect it either so I think...
