    securing the cooling fan

The 3 systems that came back were 1150's and 1151's with the stock Intel CPU fan. The 2011's are some I have in stock that I may build to send out, so was looking for a cooling solution for those.

    securing the cooling fan

I have been building computers for about 20 years and have just recently noticed that the stock Intel cooling fans that come with the CPU's are not very secure. They use plastic posts with clips that secure through the holes in the motherboard. I have had at least 3 systems shipped back to me...

My BIOS does not seem to have a section to change memory timing, or I haven't found it.

    SATA Raid problems

I have the GA-K8N Pro SLI, 2GB Corsair matched, AMD X2 4400, (2) 74GB Raptor hard Drives, 7800 video card. I have been unable to get the Raid array to be accepted by Windows XP during setup. I then went to a single partition install and am still failing on getting Windows to install correctly. I...

Either a Raid/Sata problem or Windows XP

    Nvidia Sata Raid

Can you give me a bit of reasoning as to why this would lead you towards a memory voltage problem? Gigabyte technical support seems to lean towards replacing the floppy with the Sata Raid drivers, the floppy drive, or the drive cable.

    Nvidia Sata Raid

I have set up my two Raptor HD in the Bios for Striping. But, when I go to Windows XP setup and press F6 for the raid drivers, I get "The file nvrdx64.sys is corrupted" I have downloaded from Gigabyte's site from two different mirrors and have also been in contact with their technical support...

OK Guys, Need your help. I bought an Xtasy GeForce4 TI4200 and installed it in place of the old video card. It still will not start a POST that I can tell. I have built about 15 units in the past year and have never had this problem before. Any ideas???

    Rebuilt System problem

Tried with the 512MB DDR ECC memory, the GeForce 1? card(removed the sound card and the DVD card) and it still doesn't want to go to POST. I tried checking all of the jumpers and connections. The board came default with jumper free mode for CPU freq. selection in BIOS. I am going to try to...

    Rebuilt System problem

What is the voltage on the Guillemot 3D Prophet GeForce 32MB card? The motherboard is designed to not work if a card other than one with proper specs is used, and there is a red light that should come on and warn of an incorrect voltage. This light is not coming on. I was originally concerned...

    Computer booting by itself ?

There is a check box you can clear from one of the hardware settings pages in the control panel(I think), that will pevent rebooting on a system error. I had a friend whose computer would reboot instead of shutting down. So if she hit shutdown and left the room, when she returned, the computer...

    Setting up a A7V333 system

Unless you plan to use RAID for fault tolerance or critical data backup, there is no need for using RAID. However, to use these connectors for a read/write performance boost, I believe you would need two identical hard drives. I would put your hard drive on the primary (non RAID)IDE connector...
