    might be memory or board, check for shorts in any of your ports and clean them out, run memtest to verify your memory stability, run a hdd test and clean it out, its not guaranteed, but it shpould help, if not then the problem is most likely your board

    +1, the 9550 is not the best option, but itll give you good performance in most of the less demanding games, but you should have an eye out for any good upgrade deals as alvine said, a great place for you to be would be the x4 965 with 8gb ddr3

    yes, many pros say that 2011 is just for stuuupid parallel apps, like media creation etc, because it has so much power, ivy will be fine even in quad sli, due to true pci-e 3.0 where 4x 3.0 is the same bandwidth as 8x 2.0

    some interesting things are around the corner for gpus and inel cpus so i say get everything except the gpu and cpu, wait 30 days, then get the cpu and gpu, or you could just get the intel combo, scale back on the cpu and get a better gpu

    the hexacore SB-E cpus should be the same price, or they will be upgraded, ivy quads should destroy all 2011 quads so the price of the cpus will come down, but the boards should stay the same

    the most important is, do you have a graphics card any generic psu can support any stock clocked cpu/ram/board/hdd, once you have 250 or more watts, i would say you are fine, right now im running my q9450 and a 4650 off a generic 350 watt from 2004...100% stable
