    Eyefinity 6950 Crossfire X6 1100T Problems

You will not be playing this game in Eyefinity at Ultra settings with two 6950s, and probably not even with two 6970s. I have a 6990 that is overclocked even past 6970 speeds (i.e. I'm running two 6970 "PLUS"), and I am lucky to get an average of ~55 fps on HIGH settings (with no AA) at...

Vertex 2 or Mushkin Enhanced Calisto Deluxe?

I faced the same choice when I built my new system 2 weeks ago. Based on the research I did, I went with the OCZ Vertex 2 120gb. From what I can tell, it seems to be a better drive overall with better support (i.e. ocz forums)

Update: I made this post a couple days ago, both on here and on resellerratings. I originally was not going to shop Newegg again and since this post I have ordered a number of parts from other retailers, however, Newegg promptly gave me a fairly generous online credit towards another purchase...

Core i7 970 this month, hefty price tag

Saw this on several blogs/news aggregators this morning: "Intel plans to launch several new desktop processors in the third quarter of 2010 to replace some previous models, and will also reduce some CPU prices to boost demand, according to sources from motherboard makers. In mid-July, will...

Does this look okay? i7 build

Ok guys, 2 new questions... what are the best fans for a push-pull configuration for the megahalems? 2 days ago, overclockers.com did a test of 65 different fans on the megahalems and said that the Yate Loon D12SH-12p and the San Ace 9G1212H101/9G1212H1011 were the best, but does anyone have any...

    $1800 Budget Gaming PC Setup

You could get an i7 930 for $199 with the microcenter (www.microcenter.com) in-store special, which is $80 cheaper than newegg's i7 860 and $90 cheaper than newegg's i7 930. Even if there isn't a microcenter near you, people are often willing to pick one up for you and mail it to you. Just a...
