    Point to Point networking issues.....HELP!

Just to let everyone know, I mounted a Nano 2 in each window INSIDE of each house, pointed at each other. Yes, there is a tree in between with low hanging branches. I can barely see the window at house A. I'm getting a full connection! I'm happy and things have been working GREAT!

    Point to Point networking issues.....HELP!

Yup, those are the Nano's I'm using. BUT, there are TWO pointed at each other, that's what puzzles me.

    2nd router issues

I did plug the second router into my PC. Typed in the IP address per the instructions and the modem log in screen shows up. I thought the 192.168.x.x stuff was the IP address. Now I'm even more confused than I was before! LOL

    2nd router issues

I'm setting up a point to point network but I'm running into an issue using a 2nd router at the end of the line. Seems the router I have has the same IP login as the ISP modem/router. When I type that IP in the URL bar, the ISP's login screen comes up, not the router I want to configure...

    Point to Point networking issues.....HELP!

I've talked about my situation before, so I won't get into details. But the skinny is this: 2 houses, 300 feet apart. Current set up is: House A: ISP (50mps)>>modem>>Powerline adapter>>Cisco Router (ISP signal strength cut in half by the time it reaches Cisco) House B: Mounted in window is...

    Theoretical Powerline Adapter Speed Question

What? the 500 and 200 won't talk to each other? That's depressing. I already have several 200's around the house and was going to get a set of 500's, use one of them as the main AV (connected to the modem/router) and then just re-pair all the other 200's to it. But, if they don't talk to...

    Theoretical Powerline Adapter Speed Question

So, if I'm understanding correctly, since I'm getting 20mps connecting two AV200 on my 50mps line, if I would upgrade to the AV500's, I should get more speed, with everything else being equal? Is that a correct assumption? Also, would the AV200 and AV500 work with each other? Are they...

    Theoretical Powerline Adapter Speed Question

On another forum, I read an answer to a question about TP Link AV200 Powerline adapters that I just wasn't convinced was accurate, so I wanted to ask it here. We know that house wiring is a big factor on the speed one would get through a powerline adapter, so I'm not talking about that. The...

Still confused setting up two houses

Thanks! I wasn't asking how they actually get traffic, (I actually don't care as long as they work). What I'm wanting to know is in which mode to set each up in. Both as an AP? Bridge? Wireless Bridge? Station? What? Hooking up a router at the end isn't an issue. Does this make sense?

Still confused setting up two houses

I've read and read and read, but something is still confusing me about setting up two houses with wifi connection. Possibly going to use Ubiquiti loco M5 (or M2). Assuming both houses are 100 meters apart with good line of site. Primary house: would it be best to set up as access point or...

Engenius ENS202: Access Point and Bridge working together?

I received TWO of the ENS202, one to set up at House 1 and the other at House 2, as stated above. I called Engenius because I didn't want to make errors when setting these up. After 1.5 hours of being on the phone, the rep realized he wasn't doing the right settings for my situation. As far as...

Engenius ENS202: Access Point and Bridge working together?

Thanks for all the great answers! DHCP and WAN? I don't know what that is. I just want something I can plug in, call the company for technical support to help set up (in ENGLISH), and want it to work. Getting more techie than that does not interest me. Not being mean, just being honest...

Engenius ENS202: Access Point and Bridge working together?

Thanks! I'm totally lost, but I'm sure this info is GREAT! Looked at the ens1200, way too much $$ for what I'm looking to do. Only need about 10mps at House 2. Should be able to get it since House 1 ISP is coming in at 50mps, right?

Engenius ENS202: Access Point and Bridge working together?

Thanks! Since I don't know, I'll assume DHCP means like another ISP coming into house 1. And WAN is, basically, the same thing? So then, in House 2, the "router" mode would pick up the signal from House 1 and distribute it wirelessly in House 2, right? I think I may have this!

Engenius ENS202: Access Point and Bridge working together?

So, if I understand what you're saying, the set up should look something like this: House 1 ISP>>>Router>>>Cable to 1st ens202 (in bridge mode) aimed at House 2 >>> 2nd ens202 (in bridge mode) aimed at House 1. Then what? Another router connected to the 2nd ens202 for use in House 2? My...
