I'm setting up a point to point network but I'm running into an issue using a 2nd router at the end of the line. Seems the router I have has the same IP login as the ISP modem/router.

When I type that IP in the URL bar, the ISP's login screen comes up, not the router I want to configure.

I'm not a techie, but I do dabble a bit. Can someone tell me how I can access the second router so I can change stuff?

Use the LAN numeric address of the device like http://192.168.1.1 but use the actual IP address of the device in your network.

If you are running Windows open a command prompt window and type "ipconfig /all" and hit the Enter key. It will show a list of IP addresses and should yield enough info to identify the router.

If you're not using Windows search for "how to find device ip address on local network".

I did plug the second router into my PC. Typed in the IP address per the instructions and the modem log in screen shows up.

I thought the 192.168.x.x stuff was the IP address. Now I'm even more confused than I was before! LOL
