I was just reading this article on a strike in Chili at a large copper mine. I know there have already been issues with copper supply. With more Intel trying to ramp up their new set of processors and AMD trying to increate...
Socket F has minimal performance increases... along the same lines as AM2. I don't know what we are supposed to get out of a DP server benchmark 9nm...
Just another thought to throw out there:
With the 5.4b purchase price, AMD could have built another two fabs. Maybe Intel did this to undercut AMDs ability to mass-produce CPUs. This may not be a big deal now, but how will AMD now keep up with Intel pushing their "new CPU every two years"...
It wasn't really meant to be serious. More to tie everything together :)
I made this post as more of a joke, but there are times when I have wondered if maybe he really is trying to help out Intel with some of his claims 8O
I don't know if this justifies a thread, but here's a theory for you all:
Mr. 9nm has been the voice of AMD on these forums, along with BaronMatrix and a few MMM clones sprinkled in there for the heck of it. His messages are always pro-AMD in nature, and by all appearances he is a staunch AMD...
I don't think using MS as an equivalent to Intel is really a fair comparision. In answer to the original question I don't think that Core 2 strengthens AMD's argument that Intel is a monopoly. In actuality, if Intel was all it claimed to be, the response of an innovative and (vastly) superior...

I've noticed this too. One thing I also notice, it never seems to happen when
I use the regular "Enter" key, only when I use the one on the numpad.
Maybe that will be of help?

The way I have my computer set up, I have a small partition for the Windows
OS, and a large, roughly 400 gig RAID set up across 3 discs. Because of this,
I wish to store my files on the storage drive, and not on the OS...
