Question Least painful way of migrating old emails to a new account ?

Thanks, I tried importing from my old outlook to gmail but it seems the import-function is handled by a 3rd hand company that never tried the functionality lol. It freaks out after logging in through the service, because you can't be logged in for the importing to happen xD the definition of...

Question Least painful way of migrating old emails to a new account ?

I made a new email account (old email receives way too much spam by this point), is there any way I can get my old emails to the new account without painstakingly forwarding them one-by-one? Please refrain from suggestions relating to handling spam. There's also more reasons for a new email...

My sweaty palm messes with mouse optics (probably, maybe?)

Sometimes, not uncommonly, my cursor jumps uncontrollably. It goes away within a few seconds. It "kind of" responds to input, but it more or less just increases the jumpyness. I have the same issue with several different mice and computers, the only common factor is *drumroll* my hand! I'm not...

GTX 480 disables on newer drivers

The card only works with nvidia drivers 342.01. Any other version it'll not work. Not just poorly, flat out not utilizing at all. Someone have any idea what's happening? The computer is at a person who's far away from me and completely computer illiterate, so I'm unable to get any other specs...

Wireless internet and wireless network, why how what?

Sudden thought: I get internet from a wireless source, like an antenna in the woods several miles away. I can receive and send data to this antenna pretty well. Is it my router that sends data back or does the antennas signals bounce back somehow? Connecting a device wirelessly to the router...

Why does a laptop lags more after a refresh/factory reset?

First, did you factory reset or did you do a reinstall through Windows? That's a big difference. If you factory reset, then it's extremely unusual that your experience is worse than before. If you reinstalled, then you need to install all drivers. Windows is usually OK doing that, like a basic...

Random devices peeking in network but don't connect

I've recently noticed that when I check my network from the computer I can sometimes spot phones or tablets that's visible for maybe a minute or less. They don't appear in my routers clientlist so I don't think they've ever connected. Is this normal behavior, example are these wireless devices...

Unidentified powerconnector on not even a very old desktop

I'm troubleshooting a desktop that is "dead", it won't power on at all so naturally I start with testing with a different PSU. With a working PSU (the old one is later confirmed 100% dead) atleast a small light on the motherboard lights up when the PSU is turned on. The computer however won't...

Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected ( forgot to format my drive to NTFS)

You need some kind of installation medium, like a DVD or USB. Either you buy one (along with a legit license) or you can create one using someone elses computer. Using Microsofts "MediaCreationTool" available from their site you can create a Windows 10 .ISO from either a Windows 7 or Windows 10...

Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected ( forgot to format my drive to NTFS)

You've formatted your drive, that's your problem :) When you format a drive you erase everything on it, that includes the operating system (Windows, for example). You have to reinstall it.
