Sounds like an overheating issue to me. Check temperatures upon gaming. (by the way, a lot less likely but still an issue to consider: the SSD you are using, I have it in my rig too and sometimes it is just extremely slow. Are the games you are playing on the SSD or on the HDD?)

Open the side panel of your case, it is obviously not circulating enough air to keep the CPU cool. Check whether your case is using a push-pull-configuration or they are blowing the wrong way.

Most likely overheating issues or maybe the PSU. Run stress tests and monitor the temps (prime95, HWMonitor) If the temps are normal, most likely PSU.

It's probably not BIOS, very unlikely it to be the CPU (unless you have bent pins upon installing), try putting the RAM in another slot, check to see if everything is seated correctly (most importantly CPU power).
