Hi ,
I just bought a new PC and the specs are as follows -
-R5 1600x @ stock
-Cooler master liquid lite 120 cooler
-Asus dual gtx 1070 8gb OC edition
-Asus ROG B350f gaming motherboard
-16gb(2×8gb) crucial ballistic 2666mhz ram
-corsair cs 750m 80+ gold edition
-seagate 1tb SSHD
-case: corsair spec 02 with 3 fans.

The temperatures are as follows
CPU (Load) with prime 95
= 57 degrees Celsius
Graphics card ( Load)
= 78 degrees Celsius
Ambient temperature at my place is around 32 degrees Celsius

The PC is running with windows 10 OS 64 bit Home edition

The system booted well with no errors and all drivers are up to date.
When I started witcher 3 in my computer it started well and when I was playing in game the computer just shutdown without warning and wouldn't restart unless I switch off the psu and wait for all motherboard lights to turn off.
After this I turned my psu on again and the pc booted up with no errors or blue screens.
I ran unigine benchmark for gpu and there wer no crashes.
Then I ran prime 95 for CPU and no crashes.
Mem test was also done and no errors were present.
Then next time I ran CS:GO and it crashed after like 10 mins in game.
Full shutdown and I had to switch off psu and wait and start it again.
This happened 3 times in each game both witcher 3 and CS GO. It even happened when I rolled back my BIOS to the stock bios.
Thrn next run with same BIOS I used to run witcher 3 I ran League of legends and it worked perfectly fine with no errors for 2 full hrs.
Any idea why this might be happening?

Solution
You can't check it since only games make the system fail; you need to replace the GPU or the motherboard to identify which one is causing the issue.

I just ran aida64 with all boxes checked so that it stresses literally everything. I ran it for like 15 mins and there was no crash nor overheating

I have a CS 750m and I used it and CS GO crashes.
Then I used my old PSU corsair VS 650 and the same thing happened and both the PSU's are working fine .
*update* I reinstalled windows 10 and now I can play most games , but the problem exists only in CS GO now.
I reinstalled the game through steam twice but same thing happens.

My corsair spec 02 case has 2 fans that bring in air to case and using push pull with 2 fans on the liquid cooling radiator the air is sent out.
Temperature doesnt cross 58 degrees centigrade for the CPU during load

How to check if it's the motherboard?

Check if it's the all the other stuff. If not, it's most likely your motherboard.
