    4790k Idling at 40C, jumps to 99C in Prime95 with H100i AIO

Okay so turns out my 1070 is one of the cards effected by heat issues. I've updated the BIOS (at current it is running 35ºC idle, though ambient temperature is also about 4ºC lower) and ordered the thermal mod kit form EVGA. I've also ordered another tube of thermal paste; Noctua NT-H1 - from...

[SOLVED] New battery for old macbook, have some questions

A good tool to see the health of your battery is coconutBattery http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/ If you compare the capacity of your 3rd party battery with a genuine Apple one, this will give you an indicator of how its performance will compare. Random Blackscreen and crashes at random times

How recently was it built? If you have access to spare hardware I'd recommend going trough and swapping each piece out one by one to see where the problem is. Early 2008 MacBook 4,1 - Battery Recognition

Sounds like a pretty serious hardware issue. A trip to Apple might be your only option. Probably an issue with the motherboard or similiar. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck! :)

    4790k Idling at 40C, jumps to 99C in Prime95 with H100i AIO

Okay so after a bit more digging it sounds like Prime95 might be part of the problem. Versions after 26.6 seem to generate unrealistically high temperatures. I managed to find an installer for version 26.6 and was able to run SmallFFTs with temperatures hovering between 70ºC and 80ºC. So maybe...
