Random Blackscreen and crashes at random times

I have a gaming pc that crashes at any given moment during use. The tower stays powered on and running as if it were normal, however all programs stop, audio cuts out, mouse and keyboard become unresponsive, and monitor goes into sleep mode. I have updated the graphics card but that did not seem to help.
I checked the event viewer, whenever there is a crash it is an error with "kernel-power" and labeled critical. What could be causing this or how could I fix it?

Have you recently installed new RAM or changed power supplies? Has the PC functioned properly before, i.e. is this a recent problem?

No, it has been doing this since it was built. Nothing has been changed other than updating the graphics card driver.

How recently was it built? If you have access to spare hardware I'd recommend going trough and swapping each piece out one by one to see where the problem is. This probably a bit unrealistic though. When you say the tower stays powered on do you mean the fans are still running?
Would you be able to post a screenshot of the event viewer after a crash?

Yes, all the fans and lights stay running. Will get a screenshot asap.
