[SOLVED] Supporting many disks on one motherboard?

That's interesting but I don't think it's out yet. I'm worried about component failure killing an array, and don't know if that has protections against it. It's certainly of interest depending on how well it reviews.

[SOLVED] Supporting many disks on one motherboard?

For storing Chia. I need stability over disk performance. I'd just like to be able to store as many disks per system without having the machine be a hassle to keep up. Ideally somewhere between 60 to 100 eighteen TB drives per board. I think having ecc ram would be a good idea. So, how cheap...

[SOLVED] Supporting many disks on one motherboard?

I'm trying to build a system that can host many disks. Being able to get the disks online for cheap is more important than performance. Though, I still want stability. Would a Rog Crosshair VIII Hero with an AMD Athlon 3000g be enough for hosting at least 40 disks with 2 of these . I don't...

[SOLVED] Supporting many disks on one motherboard?

Through a raid card. It's the PCIe lanes for expansion cards. I'm trying to check the max amount of disks it can support through that. I had heard there's a limit where you can't add more drives to the array. It's for crypto. I'm trying to get as fast as possible disk write and read speeds for...

[SOLVED] Supporting many disks on one motherboard?

For really fast fast read and write speeds. Trying to saturate the PCIe gen 4 lanes for a ZFS NAS.

[SOLVED] Supporting many disks on one motherboard?

I'm going to RAID 0 a bunch of nvme drives. I'm just trying to figure out the max amount of drives I could install in RAID 0 on the system. I had heard the Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI can only support 10 disks in RAID 0. Is that per RAID 0 array, or for the entire system? In other words could I...

Safe to split a molex connector to power USB hubs?

I'm running two of the nzxt internal USB hubs, so I can connect a bunch of USB 2 headers for fan / pump controller accessories. I just wanted to check if it's safe to power both of these on one molex connection. https://www.nzxt.com/products/internal-usb-hub

    Virgin builder looking for insight.

The AC-88 is only really worthwhile if you have Asus's high end wireless router, or a router capable of pulling over 150 Mbps, and an internet connection supporting that. Otherwise an AC-66 is more than enough.

    Need advice on watercooling fittings.

Replacing the cpu took more effort than I prefered, so I added quick disconnects. The only issue is connecting my cpu block to my motherboard now starts kinking the tubes. Is my best option extenders and 90° fittings?

Any point in using a SB6183 modem, on a 155 Mbps service?

I'm buying an ASUS RT-AC5300, but I noticed it's actually cheaper to purchase it with an SB6183 after rebate. The only problem is RCN only offers 155 Mbps in my area, and my old SB6141 doesn't even hit its full bandwidth of 300Mbps. (In speedtest it does spike up to 190 Mbps for a couple of...

Looking to full screen EFI boot with 660 ti

It's full screen once I get into the OS. It just isn't full screen for bios, and boot loader. From how I understand EFI graphics drivers they can keep full screen through out the entire boot process, if the manufacturer enables it. From what I've read there's probably a bios setting that can be...

HD Tune running for a long time without speed drop off.

This is the exact drive. I think it's an off brand. I don't know how reliable it is, but it's worked for me for the past few years. I'll probably get a Seagate backup drive next. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822204105

Looking to full screen EFI boot with 660 ti

I have an asus 660 ti that I flashed the EFI bios to. The only problem is I can't get fullscreen boot to work. I'm booting at the right resolution, but have the black bars around the boarder. I had heard EFI graphic bios can support fullscreen. Does anyone know if there's a bool I need to flip...
