8 drive bay

I want to purchase the Mediasonic ProBox 8 bay hard drive enclosure H82-SU3S2 froM Newegg. The product page says it only supports 12 terabytes per bay. What is stopping me from installing more capacity in those bays when 24 terabyte drives come out? I tried asking on Amazon and Newegg and the...
