I am thinking about ordering a 3700x with an Msi b450m mortar max motherboard. I was wondering if anybody could tell me whether or not the cpu works out of the box or if I would need to update the bios.

Do 2 slotted gpu's cover the 2nd pcie x1 slot on the Mortar max b450m? My build needs to have an expansion for usb 3.0.
