bass audio

so i just bought this headset and when i try the subwoofer channel i just hear audio that has nothing to do with bass. i had the hyperx cloud 2 and the bass is great there but in this new headset it just sounds like a 1$ headset. any settings or specific software i should use? P.S: i dont care...
