choose cpu

So I got my 9400f yesterday, now I have promblem should I return 9400f and get i5 9600K? because I will upgrade my gpu recently it seem everyone think 9400f is not worth it, is 9400 really that bad? if I stick with 9400f, then I will get RTX2060 or if I get 9600k, then I will get second hand...
