compatibility between motherboard and m.2

I have built a new computer but it is not working at the install the OS stage. As the title says, my motherboard's bios is not showing my NVME. I tried to unplug the NVME and plug it back in just in case it was loose or something, but it was not. I cannot try a different port on the motherboard...

I recently just purchased a WD Black SN750 and I'm trying to install it into my M.2 Slot on my MSI B150 M3 motherboard, I can not get it to detect in the bios. Everything I read says these should be compatible, maybe I'm wrong? I tried booting with it being the only storage device, still will...
