E6400

Hi I have to choose between a Core 2 Duo E6400 (2,13 ghz) with 4 gb DDR2 and a Core 2 Quad Q8300 (2,5 ghz) with 2gb DDR2. What combination of parts has most power? Edit: Is it possible to benchmark the systems in Linux, then I can see for myself the best combination?

Hello everyone so i have problem with my E6400 i just swaped my keyboard from standard to backlight one and my touchpad stopped working!!! i tried to enter BIOS to see if it is disabled there but it didn't allow me to change anything even with external mouse then i tired to install old keyboard...

when i try to open an image i get an error "the remote procedure call failed" I can open the img with paint or windows photo viewer

i have been wondering on this might i grab either i plan to have no overclocking but i have good plans on gaming as well alot o' heavy cpu tasks (my keyboard is begining its end) mostly photo editing live streaming maybe a couple o servers (not all at once)
