Floppy Controller

so i accidentally plugged a floppy disk power connecter into my fan header because it’s connected to my case fans and it started smoking. the chip next to the fan header blew. is my motherboard dead do i need to get a new one? do you think the other components are dead too?

I've been thinking about this for a while now (I think I've even made posts about it before, not sure) and I approached the idea through numerous ways like using a USB adapter and mounting it internally through one of the headers or get a motherboard with a floppy controller which is well not...
