I need help correcting a possibly mistaken belief about AIO pump connections. For the past 5-10 years, I've been connecting my AIO pump (the part that sits on the CPU) to a constant 12V power adapter, believing the pump should always run at 100% speed.
However, I'm now questioning this setup...
I want to buy a MasterLiquid ML120L water cooling and my motherboard is a Asus Prime H310M-K r2.0 (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-H310M-K-R2-0/specifications/ ) and my motherboard doesn't have a Pump Header (AIO pump) but PC Part Picker says that it will work. Will it work or not...
I strongly advise you to read manuals of your AIO water cooler before doing this (I used Corsair H100i V2). this is the mistake that i made as a newbie and now found my stupid mistakes.
If the manual says to plug pump cable into CPU_FAN header you should just do that. ignore PUMP header...
