Just finished my first gaming PC build and my storage management plan was to have Windows 10 boot and run apps from my M.2 NVME (Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive) and configure my two other SSDs (Western Digital Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive) in RAID1...
So here's my situation.
I'm configuring a new computer. I started with only my 2 NVMe drives plugged in, set RAID controller in BIOS instead of AHCI, installed windows 10 on one and then formatted the second one in Windows' Disk Management.
I then went and plugged my 3 SATA drives, two 2Tb HDs...
I have suddenly lost the RAID 0 array on my system and had the RAID 1 marked as critical. These are two arrays spanning the same two hard drives. It appears that the second drive is no longer detected as part of the array.
My hardware is an Asus Crosshair VI Hero, which has been running fine...
