Can someone give me step by step on how to make a bootable hard drive. I have a 700g laptop hard drive i just built my own computer and want to clone all of my laptops hard drive, to the 2TB hard drive i have for my computer. I have tryed a few times to do this but it is never bootable.

A random question that I couldn't answer with a quick google search. What's the rhyme or reason to mounting it vertically. From a pressure load point, it'd be better to have it lay flat. Also cooling would work better.
