Edit: I didn't want to wait, so I went ahead and placed an order.
I spent a total of £313.98 at Amazon for the following:
(£124.59) Gigabyte B760 GAMING X DDR4
(£114.72) Intel S1700 CORE i5 12400 BOX 6x2,5 65W GEN12, Black
(£43.98) CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 Desktop memory – Black
(£30.69) P3 500GB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD
A couple of the components were reduced in the amazon.co.uk spring sale, so (if you discount the premium for RAM with RGB) it came in at just under £300.
So, yeah, it's for my mum (to get her set up with Windows 11) so, she's going to have a faster PC than mine. X0)
My original question:
-------------------------------------------
Hi guys.
I'm upgrading my mum's PC for Windows 11 and am hoping to start the build more or less immediately.
Hoping I can get some advice.
The P.C.s going to be used for eBay selling and general web surfing.
I live in the U.K., so probably going to be buying from Amazon or maybe Scan?
I have an EVGA Supernova 650 P2 PSU to use for the time being, with a view to swapping it out later.
I have a GTX 1650 to fit to it.
The budget is roughly £315.
I've listed the budget as £315 because it's her birthday soon and as a surprise I'm building her a PC with RGB (she loved the RGB in my PC) and so the extra £15 is coming out of my pocket to pay the extra for an RGB RAM kit.
I'm building it into a Lian Li o11 Air Mini case with Corsair Masterfan Halo fans (The original Halo fans, not the Halo 2 fans).
I have a Corsair AIO for cooling.
I'm looking at the following components:
(£99.99) MSI PRO B760-P
(£114.72) Intel S1700 CORE i5 12400 BOX 6x2,5 65W GEN12, Black
(£43.98) CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 Desktop memory – Black
(£30.69) P3 500GB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD
What do people think? Can this be improved upon?
