So I'm thinking of building a gaming PC. This would be my first time building it. I have done some research and decided on some components however, I need help on the others.

--------------

Approximate Purchase Date: Anywhere from a couple of months to a year.

Budget Range: £600 / $950

Parts Not Required: Only need to build the PC. Already got things like a keyboard and mouse.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any to show the components but when it actually comes to buying, I'll be using UK websites e.g. ebuyer, amazon, overclockersuk.

Country: England

Overclocking: Yes, I would eventually like to overclock.

SLI or Crossfire: Don't know what these are, could someone tell me :p

Monitor Resolution: I'm using 1360 x 768 now but I would eventually like to play on 1920 x 1080.

---------------

CPU: i5 2500k

Graphics Card: HD 7850 (Which model is best?)

RAM: 8GB (Which 8GB RAM is the best?)

Power Supply: ?

Motherboard: ?

HDD: I've already got an external drive so I don't need anything big: maybe 80gb - 250gb

Case: ?

Optical Drive: ?

Fans: Do they come with the case or will I need more?

Heatsink: Do I need one?

CPU cooler: Do I need one?

------------

Additional Comments: Is it going to be loud? Will it consume a lot of power? Also, how long will be PC like this be up to date for?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

I wont actually have more money in a couple of months if that's what you mean? Or are you talking about PC parts being more advanced? Although I doubt that there will be a major performance changing advancement in the next couple of months so I'm guessing you're talking about the former.

What I mean is I will have the £600 to spend within the next couple of months/year.

Thank you for your recommendations :)

Because I still need an OS to fit into that budget however I'd probably go with a lower capacity HDD (I've already got an external drive) which would save some money. Possibly a lower value mobo if I could get away with it which would give me around £70 more all together. Something like that anyway.

Thanks, I'll keep the other component models in mind.
