Hello, I've meant to build a PC last September but sadly, I have to cancle my project and yield to my wife to avoid starting a conflict. Then, Alas! She gave me the GO signal to proceed. So, in good faith, I am grabbing this opportunity to buy the parts tonight before she change her mind hehe :)

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: from tonight

Budget Range: around £600

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming-League of Legends, Total War, and others

Are you buying a monitor: No,will use TV

Parts to Upgrade: none

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any

Location: Essex, England

Parts Preferences: any

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: WD Caviar Blue is quite popular but expensive compared to Samsung Spinpoint 750GB, is it worth it?

I chose these parts after doing research and weighing in delivery charge then using the money to get a better one with free shipping

See the big heatsink above the CPU socket? That is where your VRM's are. They control voltage. Keeping those cooler is a very good thing. That is my main reason for suggesting that board, over the one you picked. That and it was the least expensive board to have M.2 slot. If M.2 slot does not matter to you, then get this one. It has 4 phase power vs the 3 phase of the MSI board.

Why fx- 8320 instead? I first chose fx-6300 because of the price then paired it with the highest GPU it can handle.. I might be tempted to upgrade the GPU too if I go for the fx 8320 though

I suggested fx 8320 so that it can later be overclocked when needed. As you don't want to upgrade the gpu in near future, there's no need for fx 8320.FX 6300 is plenty.

the motherboard is expensive though, 74.85 GBP with shipping. I've read that any H87/97 will do but with all the choices and cross referencing with MeteorsRaining motherboard list.. its quite a handful.. any other motherboard recommendations?

Hi, last check before commiting.. I changed the case to a smaller and cheaper one to shed some cost and picked Kingston RAM instead because they offer a lifetime warranty as well. This is it!

I read the specifications and other stuff and cant come to my own conclusion. Then, I looked at the picture, the one you suggested looks posh compare to the one I picked :)

Is there another reason?

The FX-8320 is a lot stronger than the FX-6300 though.

Depends on the application. It really isn't any better in poorly threaded apps and games.
