‘EZ Flash 3’ No CPU?

Hi guys,

If I get a motherboard with EZ Flash 3 (ASUS Prime a320m-k) can I update the BIOS with a usb without the need for an alternative CPU?

a cpu is required to make the mobo boot.
It is the "brain" of the system.

No, in order to flash a bios without cpu, ram, and a gpu(of some sort), you need a board that support usb bios flashback. That feature is usually only found on higher end boards.
