So, I’m walking through a garage sale known as Walmart and see PNY RTX 5090, yes 5090, epic-X argb OC for $1700, the gods must be crazy! I don’t know what’s crazier the fact snagged at $1700 or the fact $1700 constitutes a tremendous deal today for a graphics card!

Congrats for the purchase!

Run GPU-Z first chance you get and make sure all ROPs are present.

I think these big box stores, don’t know what they have on their hands! Still in all its plastic check, … it works check … mark it down put it back on the floor , check … alright I’m going to lunch Patty. Pretty sure this is how that conversation went.

Yup all 176 ROPs are present and accounted for!

Spectacular find.
The only extra thing I would've done is, after purchase, go right to customer service and open it in front of them. At least then , you'd have no issues getting your refund if it was a box-o-rocks.

Still waiting the failure. Oh contraire had the cashier, the manager open it, it was perfectly sealed and showed no use , all trimmings still in its plastic including on card itself… so I was mystified maybe it was a pile of junk but yes asked repeatedly I can return, she said sure , ā€œI’m supposed to say nobut yeah you can bring it back if issueā€ā€¦ which only made me more jittery and concerned. Bait and switch. But so far looks like a winner.

Supposed to say, "no?" This makes no sense.
Walmart's return policy on open-box items allows you to return it with the same guidelines as if it was new. Something like 14 days on electronics, I think. Regardless of what the cashier/manager says, Walmart's policy wins.
