Most 2k 240hz monitors advertise 1ms g2g, some claim 0.1ms - 0.3ms

Theoretically the 0.1ms should display signals alot quicker than the 1ms monitors, IE mouse movements, keystrokes, etc.

However, in practice is this actually the case?

I dont want to buy the 0.1ms monitor if the marketing is false and the 1ms monitor actually provides better input lag conditions

Advertised specs

Gigabyte M27Q X - 1ms 240hz
Asus Swift PG27AQDM - 0.3ms 240hz

Actual tested specs - https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/inputs/input-lag

PG27AQDM - 2.5ms 240hz
Gigabyte M27Q X - 2.6ms 240hz

What should I rely on?

Rtings is a far better source. Manufacturers have no measurement standards to follow. Rtings does the same tests for all the monitors, so it should work as a direct comparison between units. Now the sample size is small, so it is possible they could get a 'slow' one or minor revisions over time could change the characteristics, but it should be good generally.
