0% damage OC possible?

Is it possible to overclock a graphics card with 0% damage to it?

My GPU is an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW and I bought it second hand when it is halfway through its warranty and am thinking about sucking a bit more performance out of it as it degrades over time but want to get as much time as possible from it and therefore am extremely reluctant to overclock.

Would not changing the voltage offset be the way to go to get absolutely no damage done?

I also am curious so if theoretical and practical answers aren't the same, I would still like to know both answers rather than just the practical solution.

Don't worry, as long as you have decent airflow and the temperatures are under 80c you will be fine.

So the offset doesn't really matter as long as the voltage and temp isn't high there will be no life time difference?
