I am picking the parts to a ~$1,000 gaming computer for a friend, and I was wondering if I was missing anything, or if anyone has any recommendations I should switch out?

This keeps the great 960 but you can have overclocking of the CPU in the future. CPUs last longer than GPUs. Run the CPU at stock for a year then slap on a better cooler and enjoy

This build costs less but gives better performance and ability to upgrade in the future.

Not a good cooling solution on that Diamond GPU. Plenty of reports of high temps and fan noise...

the card was made to get quiet hot but for 20$ more he could get the xfx verison
