Approximate Purchase Date: Some time soon.

Budget Range: Around $1,000 for parts, I'm throwing in the extra 100 for the OS

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Animating and Photoshop Drawing > Sony Vegas Video Editing > Screen-writing = Gaming

I often run
* 1 "core" program (Either a game, photoshop, animation, or sony vegas)
* A chat program like Aim, Ventrilo, or Skype
* Firefox
* Music (depending on what I'm doing)

All of that at one time. Extra ram can never hurt I'm assuming?

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Give me a pc part picker list and I'll go by what it says.

Location: Tennesse, USA

Parts Preferences: I'm not picky, which ever will give the best bang for my buck on what I'm doing.

Overclocking: I don't know

SLI or Crossfire: This is running two graphics cards at once right? If so, I would like room to upgrade to crossfire later.

Your Monitor Resolution: Not sure, I'm using a 32 in tv for a monitor.

Additional Comments: Like I said, I'm always running a "core" program, chat, internet, and music at one time.

LED flashy case would be cool to have but not neccesary.

Also, I only play RPGS or MMORPGS like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, WoW, so on.

Why Are You Upgrading: Going to be going to college for animation. Want to be able to do it on my own time as well.

Only concern is that there's no SSD or OS.

If you can live with a Firepro Card , the this is the best rig I could find , with a SSD , which is good for Animation , etc. If you really expect gaming , then try this -

The i5-4670K might not be that good for Animation , Photoshop , Editing , etc but is great for gaming. The 80bucks discount with the ASRock Z87 Extreme6 is just simply amazing. Choose any one of the two rigs mentioned depending on your needs and choice.

OK, That is the actual build so just assume add 100 dollars for the OS, I recommend Windows 7 still, 8 still needs work. Why do you want the SSD? If storage isn't an issue ditch the HDD and get a Samsung 840 Pro series SSD. If You want a lot of space add a Samsung 840 series SSD (the write speeds are lesser than the pro)
