I like that build too, Realistically, how much performance increase would this be over my original build? Because I still need a monitor and that'd put me a bit over budget :p

Yeah, I think I might have to do that, mainly because of the budget and I still need a monitor :p
Just a few things I'm not 100% on anymore since I haven't kept up with a lot of this for the past ~2 years:
-The comparison of the motherboards (the ASrock vs the Gigabyte posted above) and how much of a difference they actually make in performance in this build.
- The thing is, since the 780 is ~$200 more than the 770 is it worth it (I mean price per dollar wise) because I know I said $1,300 budget, but I really mainly play BF4, WoW, Crysis, LoL. I was just feeling a 780ti might be a bit overkill for a single (maybe dual, actually most likely dual) monitor setup. Please let me know, I'm not quite sure if it would be or not

I'd say yes, a 780 ti is overkill, but both the 770 and 780 can run ultra on bf4, you should get the 780 in a build this budget, it's probably going to have smoother fps on 1440p and and also dual monitors
