So I have one line going through the ceiling of my house, and since my main modem is at the end of the house I was thinking would it be possible to cut the phone line in my ceiling, hook it up with RJ11 jack and have another modem there.

Also is it possible to use that phone line as ethernet cable, thats just something tech support of my ISP told me I could do but I don't know if that can be done. So with this approach I would have one modem at the start and use that phone line to carry ethernet to the "main modem/router" and just use is as Access Point without the need to have 2 modems?

Solution
A dsl modem only talks to the phone company equipment. You would need a very special box to be able to use DSL between rooms in your house.

Converting it to ethernet depends on the wire. If it has 4 pairs of wires then you have a good chance. If it only has 2 pairs then maybe if you get really lucky and it will still only run 100mbps. It if is the old telephone cable with 4 wires that are not twisted it is unlikely to work.

I would consider powerline networks or maybe pull a actual ethernet cable if it is not real hard to get into the attic.

Oh so I can't just slap an RJ11 jack to the cable and use both of them, too bad, anyway thank you for taking time to answer me.
