Go for the SSHD, they are much more reliable and faster than the Standard HDD, they come with 5 year warranties for a reason whereas HDD's only have 2 year warranties. Yes you can get twice the capacity but you will sacrifice speed and lifespan to acquire it.
Seeing as this thread is 3.5 years old, doubtful that the original poster is still around.
And conditions have changed significantly since then.
But, to your points before I close this:
SSHD's are NOT much more reliable than an HDD. They both have the exact same spinning drive innards. Just that the SSHD also has a small SSD portion. Generally 8GB.
5 year warranty? No.
I suggest you actually look. A current Seagate FireCuda 2TB SSHD has a typical 2 year warranty.
