100% Disk usage, New laptop?

Hi, I just bought a new laptop (MSI GV72 7RE) and when I turn it on the disk usage is at 100% all the time. I left it for an hour idle to see if it was updates or anything but still at 100%, a few restarts later still 100%. I've searched google to try fix, disabling certain things it says.

I'm not sure if the HDD is faulty I've checked my other laptop see the disk usage and it's around 4% (Lenovo Y50). Would appreciate it if someone could give some assistance. If i need a new HDD could anyone recommend a laptop SSD?

Edit:Could be 100% usage at 0.1MB/s.

No actually, it's known as a memory leak whereby you can see 100% usage on memory, CPU, HDD or all three or a combination thereof. You will need to either reinstall your OS after recreating your bootable USB installer or run a repair install.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. But shouldn't it have been fine? I only bought 1 day ago :S

Have you tried to set the page file to a fixed size instead of letting it automatically set the size?

The high disk usage is probably something to do with windows update, have you tried disabling Windows update? Also one hour is not a lot of time for a laptop, have you tried leaving it on overnight to see if it sorts its self out?

I tried reinstalling windows 10 today (about 15 hours) but the disk is still at 100% I left it for 4 hours, but still 100%. The place I bought it from don't offer returns anything i can do to fix this?

I posted about this before. I did a fresh reinstall of windows 10, disabled some services and updated windows. Now it boots at 100% disk which I understand why, but after about 5 - 10 mins it goes down to 2 - 25% (normal) but after a while 15 mins or so it will go back up to 100% with 0.1mb/s on disk and system process.

Any ideas i'm completely lost at this point, I got the laptop on Thursday and haven't been able to use it to play any games. Would leaving it turned on over night help?

I've had this laptop for a week or so now and it's always at 100% disk usage for some reason.
I've looked online for solutions and done everything it says even restore windows and reinstall it completely now I have no idea how to fix it. I left the laptop on for 2 days to let it update and what not, still at 100% 🙁

edit:I left it for 2 days on desktop with nothing open, still 100% also its a MSI GV72 7RE.
