100 GB space invisible

i had 500 gb hard drive. i had windows 7 ultimate installed. due to a virus attack i formatted my laptop and reinstalled windows 7 PROFESSIONAL. when i started up 100 gb of my space and a 100MB partition called system reserved was invisible. please help. 100 gb gone is a big matter

I would agree with CountMike. It would be really helpful if you can provide a screenshot of Disk Management. Just upload the image to an image hosting website and post the link.

Most probably, there is some unallocated space under Disk Management, which you will need to allocate. You can create a new partition out of it.
