As the title shows I have a 100$ and in the market for a headset.

My eyes are currently on the Logitech G pro X and Razer Blackshark V2, but then alot of people recommended the Philips shp9500+V-Moda boom pro mic and now I just can't decide anymore.

My main concern is gaming and especially FPS games like valorant, warzone, and apex, I do play horror games too tho.

Any help will be appreciated thnx

for what you intend to do, I would get HyperX Cloud 2 headset. wonderful for gaming, just about perfect. and, it's about 92 bucks

the red one is even cheaper! 84 dollars (i have both gunmetal for my son and red one, both are fantastic for gaming) the quality of the build is great, and they are great performers.

for music listening, take the advice above. you can always get a fantastic pair of headphones and use a ModMic to add a mic

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You're not worried about using the USB driven sound card? If you are, then I'd advise on going analog alone. If not, then you're fine with either of the two headsets you've listed above(not Philips). If you're going to dive into music listening as well then the Philips + mod mic option is a good base to start with.

No, for music I just roll with my phone and a pair of galaxy buds+, I love music but I'm not a massive audiophile and only wear a headset for gaming other than that earbuds work just fine for me, also I don't care about the usb dongle if it doesn't add much to the experience, also beside the usb dongle is there a difference between the blackshark V2 and V2x, like if I don't care about the dongle is the v2x of equal value?

Isn't the hyperx mic a bit lacking tho?

Also I saw this, can you still tell me which one so should get, I honestly have next to zero experience, so I pretty much go with the higher scores😅

not in my opinion. I love it, so does my son. solid build, great quality and sound. Razer stuff is pure garbage in my opinion. Every set I had I regretted buying. Once I got the HyperX I was happy.

listen, you do what you want, it's your money. You asked for suggestions and I gave mine. that's all. see if you can go to a store and try before you buy.

the dongle is the AMP/DAC, and for all these headsets I doubt there is any noticeable differences.

Well, I'm thankful for the suggestion, and I now have it into consideration

My favorite under 100 headset is the Cooler Master MH751/752. It cuts a great balance between good for music and gaming, and is very comfortable to wear. I own those and a set of Hyper X Clouds (along with a handful or others) and while the Clouds are more "fun" to listen to due to their punched up low end presence I find the MH751 to be a lot more musical and accurate and smoother, plus quite a bit more comfortable.
