100 percent usage while overclocked

I have an i5-3570k and an asrock z77x extreme4 and whenever i try to overclock my cpu, my cpu usage sits at 100 for games when before it would sit at around 80. if im going from 3.4 ghz to 4,2, my usage should be less not more. and not 100 percent for almost all games.

Overclocking just makes your computer do things faster. Example, from 3.2ghz my bootup time is 15 seconds. When i overclocked, my bootup time is 10 seconds
