So my old psu just broke down and I had to get a replacement pretty quick, so I grabbed a NZXT C1000watt and got it almost right away. But I can see if I order a new at a e-shop I can get the same PSU but a 1200watt instead for only 1,7$ more.

Sooo question is, should I go with the one I already have or get the 1200watt? I can return the C1000 the next 28days and get my money back.

My spec is a 5800x3d and a 9070xt so I don’t NEED a 1200watt psu but maybe in the future it would be nice to have?

Thanks

Ultimately, It's your call.
However, unless you're willing to make the purchase before sending in the current and having its refund processed, you may be better off keeping your current.
The price on the C1200 could increase within the time it takes for you to receive the refund.

1200w is useless if the PSU has only one PCIe 12v 2x6 connector.
Other than for workstation applications, there's no need for two, since SLI is dead.
The Intel i9-14900K can easily exceed 300W sustained power if you set the PL1 and PL2 at 250W or higher.
A 1200W PSU with a single PCIe 2x6 connection is not useless.
