$1000 upgrades w/monitor: 980/980ti/970 or Radeon Fury X

At first, when the Radeon Fury X came out, all I saw on the Internet was that beating the Titan X and the 980ti. Now apparently its neck and neck with the 980ti. I plan to get either a 4k monitor or a 2k monitor with g-sync @144hz.. that al8ng with one of the above graphics cards. I need more facts than opinions.

They trade blows at 4K, and the Ti is better at resolutions lower than 4K.

Take into account the amount of VRAM the Fury has even though the HBM is very nice if you end up going to 4K.
