Just want to be sure.
I've actually got 1Gbps broadband now which is great for my PC!
Unfortunately my laptop is maxed out at 100Mbps.
Take a look at the screenshots and note the chip. Is this definitive or can this chip go faster?

On Wi-Fi, it only manages 33Mbps but that's another chip 😒
Thanks very much and hope you can help.

Yes, that's how you could get faster speeds on your internet connection. Just be aware, as I realized once we got a Gigabit optical connection, that you will NOT get that performance for much of the time. The real limit appears to be how fan the SOURCE of the file is that you are downloading. The internet itself can be much faster than 1 Gb/s, but the server you are getting the file from may be slower of just very busy with MANY simultaneous downloads to serve. However, I DO expect that, on average, you WILL get downloads faster than the 100 Mb/s speed you have now.
