It is a broad subject. When we get out of the retail world, which we are, we can use phrases like 'not meant for gaming'. Would I EVER recommend that CPU for gaming? No. Regardless of money there is a point where I won't recommend a certain chip. Go ahead and pick up the 6300 FX. Nope. It's well past its prime and there are many others that I have to choose from. I've recommended the G4560 in the past. This is not a new build and the A12 is showing signs of weakness which imo is to be expected. I can say if it is meant for gaming if I choose to because of past experience.

Some people are using even weaker CPU's which you know. They also are missing the game's requirements. Processor: Intel i3 4340, AMD FX-6300 or higher.. The A12 certainly doesn't meet that. Let's look to Far Cry 5. CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 | AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or better. Nope. GTA V? Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHZ (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHZ . And I could go on and on and on. The chip proves over and over again it isn't meant for gaming. It misses modern gaming min. requirements. With those technical specifications not being met, technicallly I can say it isn't meant for games. It can be USED with any game. It isn't meant for any game. Therefore when I said shouldn't be used for gaming I was technically correct.

You split a technical hair about can and should. That doesn't help the OP. It only bloats this post.
